The book draws upon the intersection of neuroscience and spirituality to offer practical tools for rewiring the brain, releasing trapped emotions, and restoring the body to a state of wholeness.

Unlike conventional approaches that merely scratch the surface, Rise in Recovery provides a comprehensive roadmap for individuals seeking genuine transformation.

“Rise in Recovery: The Spiritual Path for Healing Addiction is a passionate, well-researched, and pragmatic exploration of the power of spiritual practices in healing mind, body, and spirit from the torment of addictive processes. Yet, this is no traditional religious discourse on addiction recovery. Berlin interweaves her personal story with an extensive, diverse portrayal of various expressions of spirituality. From ancient Eastern scripture, yoga, meditation, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) psychotherapy to traditional 12-step practices, Berlin offers a thought-provoking invitation to reexamine the influence of ‘spirit’ upon the healing journey. Written with heartfelt compassion for clients and valuable insights for clinicians, Rise in Recovery is a compelling read for anyone interested in addictive process recovery. “

Christopher LoDrago:

Rise In Recovery: The Spiritual Path for Healing Addiction author Kimberley La Farge Berlin has captivated audiences on my “Addiction and Recovery” shows and helped hundreds of people seeking a new path in their own journey from addiction. I myself have used many of the tools and coping skills I've learned from Kimberley in my own recovery.  Her humanness and empathy shine bright against the stark science surrounding drug addiction and alcoholism as it takes its toll on America and its youth. Berlin's ability to share a new freedom from the traumatic injury caused by addiction has benefitted hundreds of my viewers who listen as she shares her own experience, hope, and strength. Rise In Recovery sets a new standard in treatment, bringing hope to the hopeless, dreams instead of dread to the lost, and a new life for those who have nearly lost their own.
